Girls Basketball is a Winter Diocesan Sport. Winter Sports Registration is October 1-21 each year.
Practice usually begins the first full week of November. Most practices are at St Andrew gym but some may be held at Bill McDonald Athletic Complex (315 & Bethel Road). Season begins first weekend of December. No games during Christmas break. Teams play a 10-12 game regular season and a 2-3 game post-season tournament. 4th grade has no tournament and plays 2 additional regular season games on tournament weekends. All games are weekends, usually Saturdays. Games are held at many parishes across the diocese and St Andrew teams could be assigned to play at any of those locations.
Additionally, each family is required to work 1 two hour shift at St. Andrew for concessions duty. The signup sheet can be found here. A $50 check can be submitted to in lieu of volunteering for a shift.
